RiskyMate checks the ABN checksum and, where available, active ABR registration. An unconfirmed lookup remains pending. It checks that required insurance and licence documents are present and in date, but does not check that those documents are authentic.

Frequently asked questions
Can I join if my trade does not undertake compliance work, but I am based in Victoria or NSW?
Yes. Tradie by RiskyMate welcomes trades that do not undertake compliance work. You can join the free network and may qualify for the 12-month business-tools promotion if you register during the offer and refer one genuinely new private rental provider with a rental property in Victoria or NSW who completes consent, onboarding and verification by the deadline. You do not need RiskyMate compliance-work approval to qualify.
Will I have access to RiskyMate property maintenance or compliance jobs?
Not automatically. RiskyMate compliance and property-management work requires separate approval, applicable trade qualifications, and availability in a supported service area. Tradie membership, referring a rental provider or receiving promotional business tools does not grant this access. No jobs are guaranteed.
What if I am a tradie outside Victoria or NSW?
You can still join the free Tradie by RiskyMate network anywhere in Australia. The 15 November–14 December 2026 promotion is restricted to eligible trade businesses based in Victoria or NSW, with a newly verified rental provider who has a property in one of those states.
Can a Victorian tradie refer a private rental provider with a property in NSW?
Yes. Eligible Victorian and NSW tradies can refer a genuinely new private rental provider with a qualifying rental property in either Victoria or NSW. The provider must consent, register, add their property and pass RiskyMate verification by 11:59 pm AEDT on 14 December 2026.
Does sharing my link with another tradie qualify me for the 12 months?
No. You are welcome to share Tradie by RiskyMate with other tradies, but only the separate tracked invitation that results in one genuinely new, consenting and verified private rental provider qualifies for this offer. A tradie referral, click or unaccepted invitation is not enough.
When does my 12 months of free access start?
Once RiskyMate independently verifies the qualifying provider and confirms that one of the first 500 places is available. Your individual expiry date is shown in your contractor portal. No paid subscription begins automatically when the 12 months end.
Does the promotion include Xero accounting or SOS?
No. Xero accounting is a separate paid service. Optional SOS monitoring is not part of this offer and its details are still being confirmed. The offer covers eligible business documents, invoicing, reminders and reporting as those features become available in the approved rollout.
